KEEP OUR SMALL STREETS SAFE!

MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD ON THIS CRITICAL

TIRZ MONTROSE BLVD REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT

Residents in the adjacent small streets east and west of Montrose Boulevard who are outraged that their voices have not been heard regarding the permanent closure of at least seven streets to thru traffic:  West Clay, Bomar, Welch, Woodrow, West Main, Kipling and Missouri have joined the demand to pause this project.

Write the TIRZ Board at info@montrosehtx.org and District C city council person Abbie Kamin at districtc@houstontx.gov to demand to see the traffic analysis of the project.

According to one Gauge Engineering employee at the September 18 TIRZ meeting, the traffic analysis of West Clay alone indicated that “There will only be 500 more cars a day on the adjacent streets in Phase One.”

This will clog our streets, making it unsafe for our children, dog walkers and all residents.

Write the TIRZ Board at info@montrosehtx.org and District C city council person Abbie Kamin at districtc@houstontx.gov to demand to see the traffic analysis of the project.

This will lead to an untenable situation for residents of these narrow streets which are already congested with thru traffic and where residents walk their dogs, strollers and themselves.  This is yet another indication of the lack of community input in the TIRZ project.
